Description:

”Ara Güler” international exhibitions traveled five different cities in the world during 2019. Starting from Saatchi Gallery in London, Ara Güler’s photography seen by many people in Paris, Kyoto, New York and Rome. Exhibition included B/W photos of Istanbul and the celebrity icons he photographed during his Magnum years. Our objective was to create an exhibition identity that is simple yet effective as his photography. We detailed this identity in the other mediums such as exhibition catalogs, photography book and posters.  We were able to create an unique typeface from photographers own handwriting to use as the captions of the photos. We achieved an interaction in the room with a personal and simplified typographic system that achieves its objective.  As it was a travelling exhibition using a clean-cut design helped it easily install in different venues.
